These late-summer treat is more familiar during the spring, but Blue House's coastal Pescadero microclimate allows them a later-season crop. Favas have a pea-like flavor, if a bit grassier. Shell them, blanch the beans, then remove the sometimes-bitter outer skin of each bean to extract the rich, sweet, buttery inner bean. Puree or add whole to grain salads to enjoy!
