Sausalito Springs is a women-owned and operated certified organic farm in Northern California that has been growing high quality watercress, Nasturtium Officinale, since 1988.
Sausalito Springs's watercress is grown directly in soil that is kept extremely moist, recreating its natural growing environment of stream beds, ensuring maximum nutrient density, a longer shelf life and its signature zesty flavor. The watercress is irrigated with our the farm's well water that is regularly tested to ensure pristine water quality for the watercress. Every final product is harvested, cut, and packaged by hand.
Watercress tops the list of nutrient density scores of powerhouse fruits and vegetables. Ounce for ounce, watercress contains more vitamin C than oranges, more calcium than milk and more iron than spinach.
