A member of the pea family (Fabaceae), lupine (also spelled "lupin") were originally cultivated as a food crop, and still hold stature throughout the world for their lupin beans.
What makes them particularly special, however, is their majestic, otherworldly beauty. Standing in erect spires which dazzle shades of pink and purple, with blooms resembling that of sweet pea and stately lime-green foliage, they are sure to inspire awe.
Their beauty is fleeting, they should only last about 5-7 days with proper care. Trim their stems upon delivery, and periodically thereafter, while changing their water and cleaning their vase daily. Keep away from direct sunlight.
