Coreopsis, Calliopsis, or Tickseed is a cheerful, delicate, and breezy plant. The flowers are the essence of summer. Dark burgundy centers are accented by bright yellow leaves. Keep pulling off expired blooms to allow the other blooms to open. Keep water clean and trim stems regularly. These flowers can last a long time if clean up is maintained.

His business provides 20-25 employees with year-round floricultural work. In an industry that's moved almost exclusively towards Southern Hemisphere imports, often in countries where labor standards and controls for use of toxic chemicals aren't nearly as regulated as they are in the United States, especially in California.
