Fatayer (fa-TAHY-er), a savory turnover, is a staple found in Arab street-corner bakeries. Reem's Par-Baked Cheese & Nigella Fatayer are hand-shaped from naturally leavened vegan sourdough and stuffed with Akkawi cheese and herbaceous nigella seeds. It can be enjoyed for breakfast, quick snack, or part of a spread composed of other small shared plates.

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375* F
  2. Remove from packaging and place pies on a lined baking sheet.
  3. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until warmed through, a good indicator is the cheese bubbling a bit.
