Rancho Alena

Rancho Alena

Loma Rica, CA
Guido Guaspari founded Rancho Alena in the late 1950s to fulfill his dream of ranching and raising grass-fed Black Angus cattle. The ranch today is dedicated to raising all-natural beef in a holistic, sustainable environment.

Rancho Alena's cattle are able to graze freely for their entire lives on over 1400 acres, ranging over the foothills of Loma Rica in Northern California. Gently rolling hills and meadows shelter cows and calves, who chow down on native grasses and hay. They're grass fed and grain finished (with no corn) for 9 months on a proprietary blend of brewery mash mixed with cherries, prunes and apple pressings, then Rancho Alena's beef is dry-aged for 30 days. Their team works hard every day to practice natural animal stewardship and sustainable farming, as well as to protect and maintain their rangelands and watersheds.
