Proud Source Water
Proud Source Water is a brand that derives its refreshing water from the unspoiled, naturally alkaline springs located in Mackay, Idaho, and Marianna, Florida. These springs are exceptional because they are purified by countless layers of ancient rock, which endows our spring waters with essential minerals and electrolytes, all without any artificial additives.
The journey of Proud Source Water is firmly rooted in the ethos of creating a better world for others. It all started with a mission to generate employment in the picturesque yet modest mountain community of Mackay, Idaho, which boasts a population of just 514 residents. The spring water sourced from Mackay has long been celebrated by locals for its exceptional taste, often epitomized by the saying, "Once you've tasted the water in Mackay, you'll never leave."
Driven by this spirit of community and sustainability, Proud Source Water embarked on a path to build a state-of-the-art bottling facility situated at the very source of the spring. While local impact was a significant aspect of their mission, the brand's commitment to responsible environmental practices led to a critical question: how to package this remarkable spring water? Their answer was aluminum, known for its excellent recyclability. It is recycled across every state, can be recycled infinitely without losing material strength, and a significant 75% of all produced aluminum remains in use.
Proud Source Water is not just about water; it represents a holistic approach to doing good. From their natural alkaline spring water to their infinitely recyclable aluminum packaging, this brand has been a Certified B Corporation since 2018, aligning business practices with a force for positive change. It's a testament to what they call "Water Done Different," with aluminum cans offering a promising shift away from single-use plastic toward a more sustainable future.
