Comté has been crafted in the Jura mountains of France since the 12th century, when shepherds would make cheese during summer in their remote huts. Today, it is one of France’s most beloved specialty cheeses and holds PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) status, a mark of its authenticity and excellence. 

Matured in cellars for six months, Président® Comté is a young expression of this classic cheese—savory yet approachable, with delicate fruity notes, complex aromas, and a character that reflects the unique terroir of the Jura.
