Omsom partnered with Maiko Kyogoku, owner of Bessou in New York City for this Japanese Yuzu Misoyaki Starter. Yuzu, a small citrus fruit found predominantly in Asia, is said to taste like lime, lemon, and grapefruit mashed into one. Combined with miso and shio koji, common ingredients found in Japanese culture, this starter is refreshingly light and savory. Cook with chicken, fish, or tofu by simmering with or slathering onto the protein you are cooking with. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onion and enjoy with a hot bowl of rice.
