Nguyen Coffee Supply is founded and operated by a first generation, Vietnamese American woman. The company works directly with family farms in Vietnam. This helps to promote socio-economic advancement in the region. The Vietnamese coffee beans are specifically grown in the Central Highlands, known for its rich red basaltic soil, lending the coffee beans a sweet and bold flavor. The coffee beans are of the resilient robusta bean family, which has historically been excluded from the coffee industry. Robusta beans have double the caffeine and antioxidant content as well as 60% less fats and sugars than arabica beans. They then import these Vietnamese coffee green beans through direct-trade relationships and roast in Brooklyn, New York.
