Natividad Organic Farms

Natividad Organic Farms is a small organic farm founded by two sets of father-daughter duo, offering organic radicchio, celery, carrots, beets, and many more in Soledad, California.

It all started when Alfredo Mendez, one of the members of Natividad Organic Farms decided he wanted to change his and his daughters' lives. He has been in the US for more than 34 years and started his career in agriculture with Earthbound in 1987. Earthbound was barely starting back then and Alfredo would plant, harvest, pack, and even deliver the product to clients. He thought after helping Earthbound from the very beginning and get where they are right now that he had found a family with them, but unfortunately, that was not the case. As Earthbound became bigger, Alfredo found himself on the list of the people who were let go in 2005.

Not long after Alfredo was fired, he landed a job at Fresh Express as a loader and has been with them for 16 years now. After decades of working for Earthbound and Fresh Express, he grew tired of working for others and he then decided to attend agriculture classes in Alba Salinas, California, and came up with the idea of starting his own farming business. He and his daughter, Natividad together with another father-daughter duo have founded Natividad Organic Farms in October 2020.
