The Shasta Gold Mandarin is a triple hybrid of the Temple Tangor, the Dancy Mandarin, and the Encore Mandarin. Developed relatively recently (2002) at the UC-Riverside citrus breeding program, the Shasta boasts a tangy, juicy and seedless flesh. For those of you into high-acidity mandarins, this one should do the trick.
These Shasta Gold Mandarins are grown on part of Murray Family Farms' conventional land and are in the process of a 3-year transition to becoming certified organic.
