Lundberg's organic short grain brown rice is full-flavored and a great source of fiber and whole grains. When cooked, it has a soft and slightly sticky texture that's a perfect base for rice bowls, sushi and (if you have any left over the next day!) a quick and nutritious fried rice.
For 2-3 servings of rice, add: 1/2 cup of dry rice, 1 cup of liquid (water or broth) and a splash of olive oil to a pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer and cover pot tightly. Simmer for about 45 minutes, then remove from the heat (keep the lid on!) and let steam for about 10 minutes. Scale up as desired. We like to check on the rice towards the end of the simmer, and add an extra tablespoon or two of liquid if necessary.
