Butternut Squash has a sweet and nutty flavor. When ripe, the flesh turns increasingly deep orange, and becomes sweeter and richer. It has a long shelf life and is great countertop kitchen staple. Caramelize sage in butter and drizzle upon a roasted butternut squash for an incredible treat.
