This farm, located in Jamaica, is partially employee-owned and dedicated to creating better lives for its workers by offering adult education programs, child care, and supporting local schools. Bamboo is considered an ultra-sustainable crop, as it is drought-resistant, fast-growing, an efficient converter of carbon dioxide to oxygen, and does not require the use of pesticides or fertilizers.
