At Ichigo Farms, weβre all about growing the sweetest, most flavoricious strawberries youβve ever tastedβin the wintertime! Weβre a third-generation Japanese American family based in Monterey County, with over 50 years of farming experience. Our roots are in cut flowers, but weβve expanded our passion for growing to include winter greenhouse strawberries!
Grown hydroponically in our sustainable wooden greenhouses, our strawberries get just the right balance of sunlight, ocean breeze, and care to be delicious all winter long. No conventional pesticides, no fumigation, 100% water recycling, and always picked at peak ripenessβbecause flavor comes first.
Traditionally, field-grown strawberries are a summer treat, since cold, wet winters make growing them difficult. But thanks to our 50-year-old greenhouses, weβre able to harvest and share fresh, local strawberriesβeven in the middle of winter!
Whether youβre snacking straight from the box (Bachan/Grandmaβs favorite way!), blending them into a smoothie, or making the best strawberry shortcake of your life, Ichigo Farms strawberries bring the sweetness. Farming is in our blood, and weβre committed to doing it the right wayβsustainably, locally, and always with Ai ζ (Love in Japanese).
So go ahead, grab a box (or two), and taste the difference!Read more
