Hidden Villa

Hidden Villa

Santa Cruz, CA

Hidden Villa is a nonprofit educational organization stretching over 1600 acres of open space in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains, about 40 miles south of San Francisco. They teach and provide opportunities to learn about the environment and social justice on their organic farm, in the community, and in the wilderness around them. They also raise heritage Gloucestershire Old Spot and Berkshire pigs on the farm, where they root and graze together on pasture. They practice rotational grazing, allowing the pigs free access to fresh pasture as well as certified organic and non-GMO verified feed (and giving the land time to rest and replenish).

These humanely handled pigs produce flavorful, marbled pork that's deeply connected to Hidden Villa's mission and landscape. Hidden Villa is a model of sustainable, organic practices that minimize outside inputs, promote biodiversity, honor labor, value animal welfare, and respect the capacity and wildness of the land. They're committed to inspiring a just and sustainable future through their educational programs, land, and legacy.
