Häsi Bread encapsulates Matias' (nickname Hasi) culture, heritage, and experiences as a Austrian-Afghan, California born and raised person. Learning how to make sourdough in Austria from a 4-generation bakers’ family, Hasi began baking bread out of his home kitchen that he gifted to co-workers, friends, and family. With help from his family, they now bake their sourdough out of a micro-bakery in residential Studio City, a micro-bakery they built on their own during the pandemic. Incorporating turmeric and pea flower helps provide health and aesthetic properties to his bread. They also mill their organic grains themselves. Their mission is to share,nourish, and inspire the art of great bread at the center of your table.
