Product Details

Aji amarillo is a Peruvian pepper C.baccatuum. Virtually all common chilies are C.annuum.  Aji amarillo is distinctive for its unique fruity flavor.  Though usually in the 6 to 10 thousand Scoville range like tobasco, but the taste is like a habanero. This is our simplest sauce, just aji amarillo, salt  and Nana Mae's organic apple cider vinegar.  Gives Peruvian recipies authentic flavor,  but will quickly become a favorite with any cuisine  vegies, meats, or fish.
  It is a dificult and slow pepper to produce and our quantities of sauce are limited so don't miss out.  We won't be making more of this for 10 months and last year ran out by May.

The farm (originally a hobby quail farm) has evolved into an “artisanal, speciality, urban micro-farm.” David has found his niche in specialty peppers and now produces over 30 varieties of sweet and hot peppers.
