Back in the 1930s, Brooklyn delis and markets (and home cooks, too!) were grinding horseradish root by hand—a lengthy, effortful and eye-watering process. The Gold family saw a great opportunity to make a difference in the overall aroma of their community, and decided to do the grating and crying for them. To this day, they hand-craft every batch of prepared horseradish with the freshest roots to create a consistently strong and hot horseradish. It's still the condiment of choice for delis, restaurants, and families across the country. Gold's takes pride in continuing traditions, which is why they are proud to offer Fox’s Syrups, now a division of Gold’s Pure Foods.
