Gold's Pure Foods
Back in the 1930s, Brooklyn delis and markets (and home cooks, too!) were grinding horseradish root by hand—a lengthy, effortful and eye-watering process. The Gold family saw a great opportunity to make a difference in the overall aroma of their community, and decided to do the grating and crying for them. To this day, they hand-craft every batch of prepared horseradish with the freshest roots to create a consistently strong and hot horseradish. It's still the condiment of choice for delis, restaurants, and families across the country!
