We wanted to replace milk and eggs, which form the basis for most premium ice creams with a more healthful, ethical, and environmentally sustainable alternative.
Our research led us to use tree nuts such as cashews, pistachios, almonds and hazelnuts to replace the dietary components of milk and eggs. Nuts are high in protein and fiber and contain the heart healthy monounsaturated fats, unlike milk and eggs which are high in saturated fats and cholesterol.
We wanted Genuto to appeal to "foodies" as well as to our many health conscious consumers, who because of lactose intolerance or other health issues choose not to consume milk and eggs.
Genuto is very simple. Nuts and water are emulsified to create a rich nut cream. The nut cream base is then flavored with the finest organic and natural ingredients without added gums or stabilizers. It is then frozen in specially designed European equipment that doesn't add air, which intensifies the flavor and creates a creamy smooth texture.
Genuto has received rave reviews from both the "foodie" community and the health community.
