Firebrand Artisan Breads was founded in 2008 by owner and baker, Matt Kreutz, and crafts naturally leavened, handmade breads baked in a wood-fired oven fresh daily. Beginning at the age of 15, Matt honed his skills baking in wood-fired ovens. After seven years as a strictly wholesale business, Firebrand opened its first brick and mortar shop in beautiful Oakland, CA. Firebrand Artisan Breads remains dedicated and deeply moved by the community and the people who support it. Charitable partnerships include Upward Roots, the Sierra Club, St. Vincent De Paul; No Kid Hungry; and Oakland schools, shelters, and food banks.
