Ficks was started by two college roommates at Santa Clara University (Ron & Mike) who were tired of the high amounts of sugar seen in their cocktails, as well as the general opacity of the alcohol industry. They started Ficks with a mission to create a better-for-you bar, and prove that the best taste comes from using authentic ingredients rather than added sugar or artificial flavoring. They are on a mission to "fix" the alcohol industry by showing that you don't need added sugar or artificial flavors to have amazing taste. The "farm to fizz" approach at Ficks will prove that great taste comes from using authentic, well-sourced ingredients.
