The Royal Blenheim apricot is a disappearing variety in California, despite it's unparalleled honey-sweet, rich apricot flavor. Because they have such a high sugar content and a fragile, thin skin, they are sometimes difficult to transport, which has caused many growers to replace their trees with more shelf stable hybrid varieties. However, what these babies lack in commerce-friendly traits they more than make up for in texture, fragrance, sweetness, and absolutely perfect canning qualities.
This product has a short shelf life and should be stored in the refrigerator.
While this product is fabulous to eat out of hand, it contains cosmetically challenged fruit best suited for processing.
