It's just salt and shrimp and they call it 새우젖:SaeWooJoet. We import this paste from South Korea through our distributor in San Jose called CNL. I can tell by just looking at this high quality shrimp paste because it is gray with orange speckles just like how real raw shrimp should look. I like 1 teaspoon of this paste whisked into 1 cup of kelp broth and 2 eggs all boiled lightly together for a bowl of Korean egg soufflé! Shrimp is rich in niacin (vitamin B3), calcium and Omega-3 fatty acid.
Fermented Shrimp Paste makes our delicious Spicy Original Kimchi!
Store in your freezer, it won't freeze because of high salt content.
