Chateau de Bellevue
Lussac, France
Chateau de Bellevevue has been making wine in the St Emillion area of Bordeaux for quite awhile. The earliest evidence and record is of the chateau being a gallo-roman winery called Lucciacus. It has been a winemaking Chateau that has changed hands many times, mostly Noble or Royal families, at one point owned by the Mayor of St Emillion. The Chateau was bought Charles Chatenoud in 1971. His son André converted the vineyard to organic farming in 2002.
