Casa Rosa Farms

Capay Valley
Casa Rosa Farm is a diversified family farm producing pastured meats and certified organic olive oil. We farm 110 acres in the Capay Valley and have grazing land in the Sierra Foothills near the base of Yosemite National Park. Our family has been farming in the Central Valley since emigrating from the Azores in the 1960's, buying their own farmland in 1974. The third generation of the family (Casa Rosa Farms) has been certified organic since 2009. We practice holistic grazing management, inter-cropping within orchards, and have invested in solar power generation on our farm. Our cold room and freezers are primarily solar powered. We raise Limousin influenced grass-fed beef, grass fed lamb, and some poultry for eggs. Our olive and fruit orchards are utilized by wild turkeys and peacocks for cover and food. Our organic orchards produce 3 olive varietals and small amounts of fresh fruit for direct sale at farmer's markets: Blenheim apricots, Bartlett & Comice pears, Mission and Brown Turkey figs, pomegranates, Fuyu persimmons, asian pears, quince, Marcona almonds and pecans.
We are certified organic by CCOF and our olive oil is certified extra virgin by the COOC. You may also find us as one of the member farms of Capay Valley Farm Shop and as Capay Valley Meat Growers at the Jack London Square, Walnut Creek and Vacaville Farmer's Markets, as well as Whole Foods, and specialty stores throughout the East Bay such as Country Cheese & Coffee, Star Market, Temescal Produce Market and Sacred Wheel.
