Ale Industries

Ale Industries was founded by two friends, Morgan Cox and Stephen Lopas. They met working in production brewing, and although they had no business experience, they both had over a decade of brewing under their belts. Steve and Morgan sold all their worldly possessions and picked up a used brewhouse, signed a lease and started brewing. Their first batch was brewed on March 3rd, 2009! Their company Ale Industries has grown ever since, and in 2014 moved their production into a beautiful 125-year-old building in the Fruitvale district of Oakland, where they focus on unique and vibrant beers.
