Mark Sorensen, Santipapas owner and master tamale maker, will be at Twisted Horn Ranch on Saturday, March 8th!

Here in the ranch kitchen Mark will instruct you in the ancient art of tamales. Using only the best ingredients he will inform you how to properly prepare the masa and husks and you will learn the art of ‘rolling your own’ tamales. For this class we will be making a beef filling with Twisted Horn’s own Longhorn beef and a vegetarian filling with cheese.

David Teixeira of Lusu Cellars will be our guest winemaker and will pair his excellent wines with our tamales!

Come on out and have an afternoon of educational fun!

Class is limited to 10 participants so sign up now!

Class information
  • Class will be approximately 3-4 hrs long – 11:30 am-3ish
  • Cost is $65 per person and you will take home the tamales you make in class
  • All materials are provided although participants should bring an apron
  • If you have long hair please plan to tie it back
  • Santipapas’ Salsas, Twisted Horn Ranch longhorn beef and Lusu Cellars’ wines will be available for you to purchase after the class
  • The class will be held here at Twisted Horn Ranch
