Hachiya Persimmons

Nothing says fall like the arrival of delicious, sweet persimmons! Our trees were planted by the early homesteaders on our farm nearly 100 years ago. Laden with delicious fruit, our persimmon trees are subject to the same long coastal growing season as the rest of our fruit. The proof is in the pudding. Or cookies. Or bread. Or pie. Just don't forget the cinnamon and nutmeg.

Count on at least a week to get these guys ready to eat. They should be very soft and a deep orange color before eating/baking.
